As part of the Center, The Ricci Institute
for Chinese-Western Cultural History
explores, in the spirit of Matteo Ricci, S.J., the encounter between Chinese culture and Christian faith, especially as expressed through education, and the arts and sciences.
The Japan Policy Research Institute, founded in 1994 by Chalmers Johnson, is now part of the Center as well. The Institute website is the repository of some 300-plus papers and articles on all aspects of Japan's place in the world, its view of itself, and its past and future prospects.
